NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The Nebraska State Patrol, with assistance from Homeland Security, arrested two people on Thursday after searching for a man wanted in connection with an attempted homicide.

According to NSP, a man with an active arrest warrant for attempted homicide was believed to be in North Platte Thursday morning. The warrant was connected to an investigation in Colorado.

Troopers found the vehicle of the suspect, 44-year-old Robert Martell of Denver, Colo. at noon. Martell was traveling on residential streets in North Platte. Troopers contacted him outside a house near West Sixth Street and North Emory Avenue and placed him into custody without incident. A passenger was also detained.

NSP said investigators found that both occupants had suspected methamphetamine. Troope
