Derry Fire Chief Shawn Haggart was charged with driving while intoxicated after being pulled over for crossing over the yellow line on 3A in Bow just after midnight last month, court documents show.

Haggart, 48, is currently on paid administrative leave, Derry town officials confirmed this week.

Haggart, a Chester resident, was arrested Oct. 18 by Bow Police on a single DWI charge, according to department arrest logs for the month of October posted online at the Bow town website.

According to complaint forms on file at Merrimack County 6th Circuit-District Division in Concord, Bow Officer Seth Guilmette (2025 officer of the year in Bow) pulled Haggart over a 12:34 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, or driving over the yellow line near 913 Route 3A, located just past E. View Drive.
