EAU CLAIRE (WQOW) - A U.S. Air Force Reserve C-130 from the 934th Airlift Wing circled the Chippewa Valley skies on Friday, and in it was a servicemember celebrating a very important anniversary.

Senior Master Sgt. Brian Goebel is a native of the Stanley area, and has had a passion for aviation since a young age.

"There was a point where I got to fly in an airplane with my dad and a fella, and he took us up and it was just very free up there and for the last 37 years it's been a job that's not a job," Senior Master Sgt. Goebel said.

On Friday, Senior Master Sgt. Goebel, who is a flight engineer, and his crew from the 934th Airlift Wing in Minneapolis turned a routine flight into a celebration of reaching his 37th anniversary in the Air Force.
