MARION COUNTY, Ark. (KY3) -Marion County, Ark., deputies are searching for a person of interest relating to the death of a missing woman.

According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, deputies are investigating the death of a woman who is believed to be from Yellville. She was reported missing on Thursday.

A deputy was dispatched to a home located on Broad Rock Lane on Thursday morning and found no signs of the woman or her vehicle, deputies said.

On Friday, deputies said they were contacted by a family member of the missing woman and advised that they had found the body of the woman in a wooded area near the home.

Deputies said the name of the victim is being withheld pending an autopsy to determine identification and cause of death.
