NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - Having accessible transportation is crucial – especially in rural areas like Deep East Texas.
In October, TxDOT released a Statewide Multimodal Transit Plan outlining what public transit could look like over the next 25 years for the state and how they can improve accessibility.
Now, TxDOT is looking for community feedback.
With an increased need for more accessible transportation from the community, and a growing population in the state— Tim Monzingo, the Public Information Officer for TxDOT Lufkin District, explained that this outline will help out East Texans in the long run.
