Up to six new homes could be built on green belt land close to the M5 and next to a hotel in Gloucestershire.

A proposal for the family-sized properties in Staverton has been submitted in principle to Tewkesbury Borough Council , with plans suggesting the homes would have generous gardens and off-road parking.

The 0.1-hectare site is located south of the B4063 Gloucester Road on undeveloped land linked to an unused access to the Ramada by Wyndham hotel.

Less than two miles from both Cheltenham and Gloucester, the site also lies on the Gloucester to Cheltenham cycleway scheme.
