The Met Office has predicted snowfall across parts of the UK next week as we brace for a colder spell.

They've forecasted that hills and mountains in Scotland, Northern Ireland, northern England, and possibly North Wales could see snow in what they're calling a "widespread wintry spell".

This follows a wet and windy week across the UK due to Storm Claudia, which brought heavy rainfall and strong winds to large parts of England and Wales.

Throughout Friday (14 November), the Met Office issued several yellow and amber weather warnings, with rain continuing into Saturday. Some areas could see up to 80mm of rain, with deep floodwater posing a risk to life.
