A High Court judge has granted an injunction on a traveller site near Nuneaton . The five year long order is now in place at the Kirby Glebe Traveller site in Hartshill.
It will be in place until October 31, 2030 and follows action taken by North Warwickshire Borough Council. It found that extra caravans beyond what is permitted were on the site.
So the local council applied to the court to address a breach of planning control and to ensure the site remains compliant with its approved planning conditions. The order gives the council the legal powers to prevent further unauthorised occupation.
Also to ensure the number of caravans on the site does not exceed the level permitted through planning approval.
Speaking after the high court case, councillor Mark Simpson, chair of planning
