A brute attacked his partner in her Bellshill home then went on a wrecking spree.
Stephen Cummiskey damaged a bed frame, kicked a hole in a bedroom door, smashed a window and cut the cables of electrical goods.
The 32-year-old appeared from custody at Hamilton Sheriff Court and admitted assaulting his partner of four years. He also admitted causing damage at the house in Liberty Road on August 17.
Cummiskey was on bail with special conditions to stay away from the woman, but he turned up at her home in the afternoon. He appeared to be under the influence and they soon began to argue, reports Lanarkshire Live.
Lewis Devoy, prosecuting, said she asked the accused to leave, but he spat on her head and body then grabbed her by the neck before punching her face.
