A Teesside resident enjoyed her two favourite passions - chocolate and dancing - during her 100th birthday celebrations. Betty Bunyan, a resident at Delamere Lodge Care Home in Middlesbrough , was treated like royalty as she celebrated becoming a centenarian last week.

One of the rooms was decked out in balloons and banners and there was a huge party for family, friends and staff - and then they had another party the following day with games, so all the staff had the chance to celebrate with her.

Helen Husband, a care worker at the Middlesbrough home, said Betty loved every minute of her celebrations - dancing with staff and doing her favourite thing of eating lots of chocolate.
