The cars most and least likely to fail MOT tests including Ford, Audi, Mercedes, VW and more have been listed . Following analysis of almost 210,000 MOT failure results with data from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), the diesel powertrain Peugeot 207 had the highest MOT fail rate at a staggering 4.71 per cent.

The petrol version of the Peugeot 207 placed in second with a score of 33.23 per cent, while the 206 model recorded a failure rate of 33.2 per cent.

The Citroen DS3 also appeared on the top 10 list of cars with the highest fail rates in fourth and eighth place for the diesel and petrol versions respectively.
