Police have launched an urgent appeal after a car was seen submerged in a river this morning.
Nottinghamshire Police said the incident occurred shortly before 5am when a vehicle was spotted entering the River Trent near the Wilford Suspension Bridge in West Bridgford. The car is believed to have come from nearby Wilford Grove.
Police are now working to determine whether any occupants remain unaccounted for. Emergency services have been working to track the car and possible occupants down, and have now appealed for the public's help.
