Philadelphia ― Syracuse guard JJ Starling will miss a second game due to a leg injury suffered in the Orange’s season-opener on Nov. 3 against Binghamton.
Starling will not play in SU’s game against Drexel at the XFinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia today.
Starling had been considered as a game-day decision.
Starling, a 6-foot-4 senior, sat out the Orange’s 83-43 victory over Delaware State last Saturday. He suffered the injury to his right leg less than four minutes into the team’s season-opener against Binghamton on Monday, Nov. 3.
Syracuse and Drexel will play as part of the Basketball on Broad double-header at the XFinity Mobile Arena today. Penn State and LaSalle will meet at 1:30 p.m. with the SU-Drexel following at approximately 3:30. Both games will be streamed on Peacock.
