LSU sophomore quarterback Michael Van Buren threw a touchdown to retake the lead midway through the fourth quarter, and LSU held on for a 23-22 win over Arkansas on Saturday afternoon inside Tiger Stadium.
Making his first start at LSU, Van Buren threw a 12-yard touchdown to tight end Bauer Sharp, his first of the game, with 7:53 left in the game. After Arkansas missed a field goal, Van Buren scrambled for 35 yards and freshman running back Harlem Berry picked up a critical first down to put the game away.
