MANCHESTER, N.H. —
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation said some of its crews have already been working hard after coming off a 16-hour shift Thursday, clearing snow up north.
Right now, the New Hampshire Department of Transportation said they have a winter vacancy rate of 28 percent, and they fill that void by taking staff from other departments whose primary focus is not winter cleanup. For example, maintenance crews who can pitch in and help when there's a storm coming through.
