Chester is headed back to the District 1 Class 5A championship game.

Senior quarterback Jalen Harris had 170 passing yards, two touchdown throws and two rushing scores, while senior running back Jerrell Palmer rushed for 116 yards as the second-seeded Clippers defeated No. 3 West Chester Rustin, last year’s district champ, 27-13 Saturday afternoon.

Chester (13-0) will travel to top-seeded Springfield (13-0) next Friday for an all-Delco showdown between the Del Val League and Central League champions. Both programs are chasing the first District 1 title in team history. Springfield fell to Rustin in last year’s final and Chester lost to Strath Haven in 2023.
