Saint Francis’ 63-20 Senior Day victory over Judson on Saturday at Bishop D’Arcy Stadium served duel purposes:
Sending off the 19 Cougars who have exhausted their eligibility in fine fashion;
Sending a final message to the NAIA national championship playoff selection committee.
“To end on a game like that is always, you kind of wish you had a little more grit in the competition,” USF head coach Adam Sherman said. “I think that they’re going to be OK. They have a head coach that’s trying.
“It’s a good win, but now that’s over and now it’s up to God.”
