Police are investigating after a daylight smash-and-grab robbery at a jewelry store inside Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket.
The robbery occurred at around 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the mall, on Yonge Street at Davis Drive , York Regional Police said in a post on X .
Multiple suspects entered the store armed with hammers, smashed display cases and stole a quantity of jewelry, according to police
Police said to expect a large presence of officers at the mall and urged people to avoid the area.
