Phoebus extended its bid for a fifth consecutive state championship by outlasting Churchland 26–21 in a tense Class 4 Region A quarterfinal on Saturday at Darling Stadium. The fourth-seeded Phantoms rallied from an early 14-point deficit and then held off a late Churchland push, sealing the win when freshman Jayden Marbury intercepted a fourth-down pass in the end zone with only seconds remaining.

The final minute was packed with drama. Churchland, trailing by five, advanced to the Phoebus 22, where quarterback Logan Wynne—who threw for 173 yards—escaped heavy pressure but missed an open receiver in the end zone. A holding penalty against Phoebus gave the Truckers one more chance from the 12, but Marbury’s interception halted their comeback.

With the victory, the Phantoms improved to 7–3
