At the beginning of the season, it felt like Central Catholic and North Allegheny were written into the WPIAL Class 6A title game in Sharpie.
When it finally happened, Central Catholic spent the night writing its name in black ink.
In the fourth consecutive title game matchup between the two programs, Central Catholic bulldozed North Allegheny 42-7 on Saturday night at Pine-Richland Stadium. Junior running back Jayden Alexander returned the opening kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown, then Central Catholic continued to dominate for the remaining 47 minutes and 48 seconds.
“All phases of the game, we just dominated,” junior running back Roman Thompson said. “That was our big emphasis this week in practice.”
