Rajasthan Royals owner Manoj Badale said that Ravindra Jadeja had reached out to him a month ago and was excited about the prospect of returning to the franchise. Jadeja made a name for himself as a youngster with the Royals and played a major role in them becoming champions in the inaugural season of the IPL. He was called a 'rockstar' by then RR captain and Australian legend Shane Warne.
Jadeja left the franchise in 2011 and after a year with Kochi Tuskers Kerala, went on to play for Chennai Super Kings, where he won three IPL titles. Jadeja's return was finalised on Saturday, November 15 and the RR owner said that there were several challenges to get the deal done.
Badale also said that it was good to see the older version of Jadeja after a long time.
