At 12:53 a.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch valid from 10 a.m. until Monday 1 p.m. for Forest County.

"Heavy lake effect snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 10 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph," comments the weather service. "Lake effect snow bands will lead to sharp gradients in snowfall totals across the county."

"Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute," says the weather service. "Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation."
