On Sunday at 1:04 a.m. the National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory valid from 10 a.m. until Monday 7 p.m. for Franklin and Essex counties.

"Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches with localized up to 8 inches on mountain slopes. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph," can be expected according to the weather service. "Snowfall amounts will be dependent on elevation with more snow expected across higher terrain. Watch for rapidly changing road conditions if traveling in mountainous terrain."
