Wind advisory affecting 4 N.J. counties Sunday

At 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory valid for Sunday between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. for Monmouth, Cape May, Atlantic and Ocean counties.

The weather service says, “West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts of 40 to 50 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” says the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.”
