Road construction season is winding down but a few remaining closures are still on the calendar.

More than 36 road projects and special events will begin between Sunday, Nov. 16, and Saturday, Nov. 22, resulting in various levels of closures on the state’s primary roads, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).

Drivers should be aware of closures on U.S. 131 in Kent County, I-75 in Oakland County, I-94 BL in Berrien County, U.S. 127 in Jackson County and I-96 in Eaton County.

Below is a summary of eight closures to watch for this week. All projects are weather-dependent. State officials remind drivers to slow down and follow posted signage in work zones.
