Strong winds and lake effect snow will create hazardous travel conditions across northwestern Pennsylvania today through Monday afternoon, with some areas potentially receiving over 6 inches of accumulation amid blowing and drifting snow.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Warren, Elk and McKean counties from 10 a.m. Sunday through Monday afternoon.

Wind Advisories are also in effect for much of central Pennsylvania, with gusts potentially exceeding 40 mph through midnight tonight. The combination of snow and wind will create dangerous travel conditions, particularly in the northwestern counties.

In the affected northwestern areas, lake effect snow bands are expected to develop Sunday morning and continue through Monday.
