Pop legend Gary Numan broke down on stage and had to be comforted by his wife after receiving the “worst news ever”.
English star Numan, who shot to fame in the late 1970s with with hits songs such as Are ‘Friends’ Electric and Cars, became distressed in the middle of a concert at the O2 Academy in Birmingham on Saturday night.
The singer, 67, was midway through his song Please Push No More, when his wife, Gemma, had to rush out on stage to comfort him.
The Mirror reports that Gary told worried fans he’d received the “worst news ever” that morning.
