Mason Rudolph started the second half at quarterback for the Steelers against the Bengals in place of Aaron Rodgers, who is questionable to return with a left hand injury, according to the team. Rodgers headed into the locker room Sunday with 10 seconds left in the first half and the Steelers kicking off after a Steelers drive stalled and they settled for a Chris Boswell field goal.
Apparently, Rodgers felt some sort of discomfort, because his last throw was an incompletion to Roman Wilson on third down. Rodgers walked off the field as he normally does, showing no signs of an injury.
Rudolph has yet to play this season. Fortuitously, the Steelers have an emergency No. 3 quarterback for the first time this year in rookie sixth-round pick Will Howard, who was activated off injured reserve
