The Old Bridge Planning Board has approved plans for a microbrewery, restaurant, event space and bridal suites adjacent to the Hampton Inn at Route 9 and Spring Valley Road.
Hook Mountain Associates received approval for the project, which will include a new 9,790-square-foot building next to the existing hotel.
The first floor will house a brewery and restaurant, while the second floor will feature event space and two bridal suites, according to architect Michael Testa .
Testa said the board felt there is a need for this type of business in the area.
The board initially had concerns about parking, but those concerns were addressed through traffic engineer testimony, Testa said.
The building will feature a stucco façade designed to match the adjacent building.
