CHARLES CITY, Iowa --Healthy Harvest of North Iowa (HHNI) has made history by winning the 2025 Farm Credit MarketMaker Innovation Award, the first time an Iowa-based project has claimed this national honor. Communications Director Mallory DeVries accepted the award on November 13 in Indianapolis at the National Agricultural Marketing Summit. The award, sponsored by Farm Credit, includes a $6,000 prize.

HHNI's project, “Click to Connect: Linking Recipes and Farms via MarketMaker,” enables users to transform recipe browsing into direct support for local farms. By integrating MarketMaker, a national directory of farm and food businesses, into its recipe collection, users can find local producers for ingredients by clicking on them.
