Strong wind gusts continue to blast across New Jersey on Sunday with reports topping 50 mph in some spots.

The National Weather Service has issued wind advisories for the entire state. Most of those alerts expire at 7 p.m.

Strong winds could continue at the Jersey Shore until 10 p.m. and in northeastern counties until 1 a.m. Monday, forecasters say

Thousands of homes and businesses have lost power with as many as 12,000 customers out at one point on Sunday.

The highest reported gust as of 2:30 p.m. was 53 mph in Keansburg in Monmouth County, closely followed by 51 mph in Mantoloking, Ocean County.
