A report was issued from the National Weather Service on Sunday at 7:22 p.m. for snow showers until 8:15 p.m. for Fulton, Montgomery, Schenectady, Saratoga, Albany and Rensselaer counties.

"At 7:19 p.m., a band of heavy snow showers extended from Amsterdam to Latham moving east southeast at 30 MPH," explains the weather service.

The weather service adds, "Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination."
