SCRANTON, Pa. — On Sunday, the city of Scranton held its second electronics recycling event of the year as community members dropped by the Department of Public Works headquarters with laptops, keyboards, televisions, and more in hand.

Christopher McClatchy, the Scranton Recycling Coordinator, said, "There's a whole bunch of things inside of them that need to be separated. If you improperly dispose of a television, if you're by a river, that leaches in, it helps contaminate a landfill. It is really important to make sure that they're properly recycled."

Nearly 150 people stopped by to drop off electronics for recycling.
