BEIJING (Reuters) -China's fiscal revenue grew 0.8% in the first 10 months of 2025 from a year earlier after a 0.5% gain in the January-September period, finance ministry data showed on Monday.
Fiscal expenditure rose 2% on the year in the January-October period, slower than a 3.1% expansion in the first nine months.
Chinese top leaders have proposed to leverage a proactive fiscal policy for the next five year for the country's 15th Five-Year Plan to improve fiscal sustainability and optimise spending structure.
The finance ministry also recently set up a new debt-management department with the aim of reining in local debt risk.
