SEVEN HILLS, Ohio -- Veterans Day in Seven Hills was marked with the dedication of a new park in honor of Master Sergeant Joseph J. Andres Jr., who in 2005 was killed in action during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

“Over 100 residents and guests joined the City of Seven Hills in dedicating the new park,” Seven Hills Mayor Anthony D. Biasiotta said.

“The afternoon was extra special knowing that we were surrounded by Joe’s family and many friends who grew up with Joe in Seven Hills.”

The program included keynote speaker United States Army Lieutenant General (Ret.) Robert W. Wagner, Commanding General of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg, Padua Honors Chorale and Bel Canto Choirs, Father Anthony Suso of Saint Columbkille Parish and the American Legion Post 572.
