The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a teen.

It occurred Sunday afternoon in the 1900 block of Orchard Road.

All five occupants were transported to the hospital.

Investigators believe the vehicle became airborne after cresting a hill, struck a tree.

A 14-year-old was ejected from the rear passenger side window.

Speed is most likely the cause of the crash.

The Coroner’s office will release the name of the deceased at a later time.
