The final five athletes in the running for the 2025 Michigan High School Football Player of the Year award search have been determined.

East Kentwood senior quarterback Kayd Coffman brought in 54.28 percent of the fan vote to be named the fifth finalist for the Football Player of the Year award. Coffman, a Michigan State commit, had 761 of the 1,402 total votes cast in this year’s fan poll, which saw him surpass the 595 votes cast for Dexter wide receiver Cole Novara in the second-place spot.
