A man has been arrested after a woman was reportedly choked on a Glasgow train. ‌

Police were called following the incident which took place on a train between Dalmuir and Larkhall on Monday, November 3. ‌

A man allegedly 'attempted to choke' a woman at around 7.15pm before getting off the train at Blantyre . ‌

Officers from the British Transport Police have confirmed that a man in his 30s was later arrested in connection with a "domestic assault".

They are appealing for witnesses in a bid to ascertain the full circumstances of the incident

A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: "Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a woman was assaulted on a train from Dalmuir to Larkhall .
