JACKSON COUNTY, MI — Several places in the Jackson County-area are helping feed families for Thanksgiving this year.
Thanksgiving is Thursday, Nov. 27. Here are some ways in Jackson to get a free turkey or meal.
Jackson Turkey Drive-Thru
The Jackson Police Department is hosting its annual Turkey Drive-Thru event from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Jackson County Fairgrounds, 128 W. Ganson St.
The event is open to Jackson residents. No prior sign-up is necessary, and the turkeys are free. Only one turkey will be given to each vehicle.
Participants are asked to remain in their vehicles, entering the fairgrounds using the North Blackstone Street entrance, and driving through the parking lot to the Turkey Drive-Thru site. Drivers will exit the fairgrounds using the West Ganson
