The banged-up Bruins summoned reinforcements before Monday’s game against Carolina.

Matêj Blümel and Riley Tufte were both on the ice at Warrior Arena for morning skate before the 7 p.m. game at TD Garden. Viktor Arvidsson and Casey Mittelstadt (retroactive to Nov. 6) were both placed on injured reserve.

Blümel replaced Arvidsson on the second line in practice, joining Pavel Zacha and Alex Steeves. Tufte skated as an extra forward.

Elias Lindholm, who hasn’t played since Oct. 30, was also on the ice for practice. He was working in a limited capacity.

Charlie McAvoy was not on the ice, but there also wasn’t a replacement defenseman, which means the Bruins could simply play the other six active defensemen on Monday.
