What does a yellow weather warning mean?
The Met Office issues yellow, amber, and red weather warnings through the National Severe Weather Warning Service when it looks like more extreme conditions might affect people’s day-to-day lives.
The colours relate to a combination of the weather spell’s severity and its likelihood to impact people. Yellow is the mildest warning level, then amber, with red
