Michael Penix Jr. was supposed to lead the Atlanta Falcons to glory. Instead, his 2025 campaign threw him a wrench in Week 11 against the Carolina Panthers. Penix went down after taking a hit in the third quarter, and as he limped off to the sidelines, many feared his season was over. But he’s not giving up.
Head coach Raheem Morris had noted that Penix’s injury “doesn’t look good.” But Penix isn’t happy with the verdict of a season-ending injury. He’s giving the diagnosis another shake to see if a different outcome can be achieved.
“Falcons QB Michael Penix suffered a potentially season-ending knee injury during Sunday’s loss to the Panthers,” writes NFL insider Adam Schefter. “Penix will be seeking a second opinion, but it is not encouraging.”
Stay tuned, this story is developing.
