PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A serious crash that happened after freeway hit-and-run is causing a road closure Monday morning in west Phoenix.

First responders were called to the crash around 4 a.m. near 75th Avenue and Van Buren Street . They found a red SUV that had crashed into two semi trucks, then caught fire and was badly damaged.

At least two people have been taken to the hospital from this crash. Their conditions were not provided.

The intersection of 75th Avenue and Van Buren is blocked as an investigation is ongoing. It’s expected to remain closed for an extended time.
