ATLANTA — A suspect is on the run after allegedly shooting two women near a gas station in Downtown Atlanta.

According to police, the two women were the daughters of a tow truck driver who had been towing the suspect's SUV -- which could be seen at the BP gas station at the corner of John Wesley Dobbs Avenue and Piedmont Avenue.

Atlanta Police said the incident began as a fight between the suspect and the tow truck driver, and then the shooting happened a half block away after an evident confrontation between the suspect and the tow truck driver's daughters.

Both women were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital; they were described as "alert, conscious and breathing" at the time.
