CLARE COUNTY, MI – Three people died in a two-vehicle crash in Clare County on Nov. 13, police said.
Clare County Sheriff deputies responded to the crash at 9:11 p.m. on Nov. 13 at M-115 near Harding Avenue in Surrey Township.
When the officers arrived, one vehicle was on fire, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. It was extinguished by Surrey Township Fire Department crews.
Investigators believe a black 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by a 20-year-old Detroit male, was traveling westbound on M-115 with three passengers: a 20-year-old Detroit man, 19-year-old Detroit woman and 21-year-old Detroit woman.
The Jeep crossed the center line into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with a white 2013 Buick Verano driven by a 24-year-old Tecumseh man, police said.
