TACOMA, Wash. — The University of Washington is officially accepting proposals from contractors as it moves to build a new student housing and dining facility near its downtown Tacoma campus.
The construction will be a public-private partnership. The UW Board of Regents approved a proposal by the school last week, allowing campus leaders to begin the formal process of finding potential development partners.
This would be only the second student housing facility for UW's south Sound satellite school, and its first traditional dining hall, which was referred to as a "highly sought-after amenity" in a press release announcing the bidding process.
