Shovels have finally hit the dirt at the site of Cambridge’s newest supportive housing project.
After a few delays and obtaining all of its permits, Indwell has started to renovate the site of the former Grand River Hotel at 1102 King St. E. in Cambridge .
The heritage building in the heart of Preston will be converted into a 45-unit residential building with a three-storey and five-storey addition, along with a two-storey addition on the side.

The project, named Heritage Flats, will be the newest development by Indwell, a Christian charity that specializes in affordable housing.
