Showers and potentially-severe storms may be possible in Louisville Nov. 18 as a cold front approaches the area, according to a hazardous weather outlook notification from the National Weather Service in Louisville.
Though rain is possible in the morning of Nov. 18, stronger showers are more likely from 3-10 p.m., with the possibility of lightning, hail, gusty winds and low-severity tornadoes, NWS meteorologist CJ Padgett said. An estimated 1-1.5 inches rain is expected.
"[The area is] not likely to have widespread flooding issues," Padgett said.
Padgett recommends people to stay up-to-date with the forecast and, when possible, to go inside as soon as lightning is identified.
