MANCHESTER, N.H. —

The Mount Washington Observatory says it has recorded 45.5 inches of snow so far this November.

According to the observatory, the total is well above average for this time of year.

Workers said the most November snow on record at the observatory is 86.6 inches, set in 1968.

To get an accurate measurement, weather observers had to shovel snow around the precipitation can.
