YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — A third federal lawsuit has been filed against Ursuline High School in Youngstown, this time claiming that a number of Fighting Irish football players assaulted and harassed an openly gay student and that school administrators and coaches declined to punish the offending teens.
The lead attorney for the plaintiffs is Subodh Chandra, whose Cleveland law firm has already brought forth two prior complaints against Ursuline. The first lawsuit alleges a culture of hazing and sexual abuse within the football program, while the second claims a "star football player" continuously harassed and assaulted a female classmate .
